Hello from Alberta Canada

Post by Stevenwr »

Hello everyone. I started riding some 27 years ago and have been primarily into Suzuki's & Kawi"s. About three years ago Honda's started showing up in my garage...SOHC 550's & C70 cubs. I've enjoyed restoring and riding them as they have a lot of character and remind me of why I started riding in the first place.
Last week I picked up a 1979 CBX 1000 that needs some work. The PO was restoring it, the first time he started it the cam chain (A) broke, out of frustration he immediately got rid of it. So it's safe to say I have some bent valves and a cam chain to replace. The rest of the bike is pretty clean. I'll start posting photo's of my progress. I'm excited to bring this bike back to life, I can't stop staring at that engine! I haven't taken it for a ride yet and it puts a smile on my face.

I wish I was you and doing it all over again. Welcome, please let us help - take pictures, share your progress. Help will come out of the woodwork.

Welcome!
