I'm fitting a set of Keihin CR carbs on my 78 cbx1000z (kit from Tims) and I am struggling to get the crankcase breather pipe back on as the vent on the case is contacting the underside of one of the carbs ? What do people do about this when fitting these carbs.....cut the vent back locally ? I don't really fancy doing that.......is there another option....has anyone else fit these carbs and had the same problem ?
Cheers

paxo,
You can remove the alternator (3 bolts) and knock out the entire vent tube from the inside. Then you can turn it to a better angle for you and re-seal it to the case. A very easy fix. I have done this many times with my turbo's.

Only problem I've found is that I had to heat the breather pipe to get it driven out.

I had to use a little heat but the vent pipe knocked out ok and is now repositioned and carbs fit so much better. Looking forward to trying them out tomorrow !
