Late Model Luggage locks
What are options for getting keys for these locks, numbering system I have not seen before on Honda locks. Detachable saddlebag lock and saddle bag latch.

It's probably a 211 and/or a 714 key - those locks were all keyed to the rest of the bike and used the same key as the bike they came from. I can't exactly tell what part you are showing there.

Re: Late Model Luggage locks
Thanks Dave for the reply, The parts are a latch from a 81 CBX saddle bag and the other part is the Detachable lock that locks the S/bag to the frame.
I'll see if I can find those keys. Would you know if the saddle bag key is the same size as the Ign key or is it shorter looking?
Thanks again

Re: Late Model Luggage locks
The bags use the very same key, bag locks and slider pin locks, as the ignition/gas cap. All one and the same. If your ignition key doesn't work for the bags, either the ignition switch has been changed; or, the bags and/or retainers are not original for that given bike. Applies to the helmet lock, also.

Thanks Larry, good info. yes the bags and the racks are not original to the bike, just trying to get keys so they can be used.

Re: Late Model Luggage locks
If you provide the correct lock number to a good locksmith, they can cut a key from that code.
