Carb rebuilding by self VB A61 pics and cbxcarbs.co.uk
I'm new here. My plan is to rebuild CBX carbs VB A61 (1979) because bad idle and so on.
I used my heater to heat these black rubber and then it is easy to remove carbs.

You can use any top with any slide, all floats are interchangeable as are all other internal parts and jets. Just have to keep the bodies straight when you separate them, if not familiar with these carbs. When separating the carbs - THOSE are the parts you need to keep straight. Bowls are self-explanatory. But it is still good to keep everything in order! And don't forget to extract the pilot jets. Keep us posted.

Separate them all and install new Viton o-rings everywhere, or you’ll be doing it all again.

Mean while Ultrasonic clening I cleaned these. I used paper 240 and 800 and finished with drill and polish for aluminium.

Re: Carb rebuilding - VB A61 pics
I did put everthing together, new o-rings and gaskets. I couldn't remove the idle jets or the primary tube anyway I think it is called so. It looked clean anyway.
I put back the carbs on my bike, started the engine and find that the engine is like before no good idle. This happend under summer time.
Looked at Ebay and find http://www.cbxcarbs.co.uk/ Steve who is rebuilding CBX carbs in UK and also admin on the “CBX Six Cylinder Owners”. Good and fine, I was happy because I find some one who can rebuild CBX carbs. I sended the carbs to Steve and he received them Fri, Jul 6, 2018. Well it is sno and cold now and maybe UK is going out form EU. Hmmm..

Re: Carb rebuilding - VB A61 pics - well
If it is Steve Gosine that you sent the carbs to he has an excellent reputation with this Club and the UK Owners Club.

Re: Carb rebuilding - VB A61 pics - well
You have done a great job on the carbs, and you got SO CLOSE to having them perfect, including the idle.
If you had been able to find out how to remove the idle jets, your result would have been much better. Once you see it done, it is nowhere near as scary as it looks.
The first good news for you is that Steve Gosine has a great reputation and you will be happy with the result. The second good news is removing and cleaning the idle jets can easily be done without splitting the bank of carbs. You've already done all the really hard work, so the idle jet removal, clean and refitting will be a piece of cake for him.

Agree with all the above - I think Martini's concern, and mine would be as well, is that Steve has had the carbs since July. I'd be making some calls.

Thanks herdygerdy for your point that I done all the hard work. Unfortunatelly I hadn't knowledge to get out the idle jets. Maybe next time better lucky.
Steve sent me email and the carbs is ready I am not so familiar with PayPal and I'll figure out how it works.

This ad I did find on Ebay.com CBX restoration Service
I was a little bit unsure because there were no feedback about the CBX carb restoration but there were any thing else feedback. Any way I sent Fri, Jul 6, 2018 my carbs to him.
I ask a question Ebay / PayPal. There is one point with Ebay and PayPal when you pay. If I sell something for example a tire for 100,00GBP on Ebay and get payment via PayPal I'll get maybe 97,00 or 98,00GBP. The seller pays fees, not a buyer. So the buyer get the tire for 100,00GBP.
After some weeks waiting I received the carbs Thu, Dec 27, 2018 and they look very fine ! Everything is done as mentioned on the ad (Ebay), JIS screws, plating, vapour, new fuel teel and also new float valves. The carbs were tested on a Z also.

Re: Carb rebuilding - VB A61 pics - well
ebay fees here in the U.S. are 10% of the selling price PLUS shipping. So, If you sell something for $100 and it is $20 for shipping, ebay takes $12.-, although the shipping amount is not really your money.
Paypal in the U.S. charges 2.9% + $0.30 for money transfer. If the currency of the buyer is foreign, it is 4.4% + $ 0.30. Again fees are charged for total amount transferred, incl shipping.
So, the total you pay in our example is $12.- + $3.48 = $15.48 for a domestic transaction and $12.- + $5.58 = $17.28 for a foreign transaction.
