79 clutch rubbers - any other source.
Is there any other supplier of clutch rubbers apart from Six Center in Holland?

I have a set for the CBX from Bert and a set for a DOHC4 from Wout. I’ll compare. If they are the same (I suspect they are) you could always buy from Wout
Why not buy it from Bert?

Bert is very slow to respond and payment is by bank transfer which is expensive.

I've not had that experience. He promptly sends me an invoice with international shipping calculated, I PayPal him and in less than a week I have the parts. Sorry your experience hasn't been the same.

My experience with SixCenter is the same as Dave's, PayPal payment / delivery has never been an issue.daves79x wrote:I've not had that experience. The OP is in Brisbane. This may be a tad different than shipping to the U.K. and the U.S. He also may not have PayPal .

Thanks for the replies. I contacted Bert last week about Paypal or credit card payments but have yet to hear back. I will try again as he seems to be the only place that has the rubbers ( unless Wout's CB1100 ones fit?)

There sure is. Go to https://www.partsnmore.com/parts/honda/ ... rs[page]=3sixinoz wrote:Is there any other supplier of clutch rubbers apart from Six Center in Holland?
Click on the Custom Fit sidebar menu then go to the 3rd page and you'll find the CB1100F set of rubbers. Will work for CBX. Price is keen too. Not sure of their shipping costs to Oz though

Thanks for the link, 1956.
Be careful as to how many rubbers there are in the 1100F kit.
My own personal take is i like supporting the vendors that support the CBX marque.
Within reason of course.
If it costs a couple extra bucks and takes an extra week i am okay with that.

I agree with you- I support Bert all the time and have never had a problem. I'm just suggesting an alternative. There are 7 rubbers in the 1100F kit- I think that's enough for either '79 or '80 CBX modelssteve murdoch icoa #5322 wrote:Thanks for the link, 1956.

Ok - saw the rubbers on the link. Does anyone know if they are comparable as to quality? I only want to do the clutch once. I know that sometimes there are big differences between non OEM parts.

Just FYI, the '79 takes 6 rubbers and the '80 takes 9. I think.

You are correct- therefore the 1100F kit will only have sufficient rubbers for the '79 modeldaves79x wrote:Just FYI, the '79 takes 6 rubbers and the '80 takes 9. I think.
