Good day,
I recently bought a 1979 CBX 1000 and stripped the carburator. One jet stripped and I tried everything to remove it but no luck.
The bank of carbs are 60A's and I found another body but it's a 65A. Can I add that 65A in with the rest of the 60A's?
Differences between 60a and 65a carb bodies

Physically the body will bolt on, but jetting configuration is different. I suppose you could just jet it stock for that model carb (105 main I think) and the bike would run OK, but VB60 carbs are quite plentiful. What jet is stripped/broken?

Re: Differences between 60a and 65a carb bodies
The primary main jet has got another jet about 10mm deep. That one is the problem. My carbs has got a 98 secondary main jet and a 65 primary main jet. The bodies seem to look the same, but I would rather make sure here as I don't want to burn my fingers by stripping the carbs and it's not going to work.

The difference between the 60A and the 65A is that the 65A doesn't have thread for the primary main jet.

Entirely different low speed circuitry also. So you can't 'make' VB65 jetting match VB60 jetting.
