79 carb jetting

79 carb jetting
I have a extra set of carbs the #60 that are from a 79. I am rebuilding them and they have 105 and 65 jets in them. Should I buy some 98's to replace the 105's or will they work ok on a stock engine and stock airbox and set of headers.

I think it would depend on the headers you are using.
On my '79 with a DG 6-1and Kerker 6-2, the stock setup worked fine.
It was only when i used a K&N air filter that the bike developed a mid-range stumble. Back to stock filter and the stumble went away.
