Sloppy Shifter Lever

Post by johnod »

Well my cbx is almost here now, just have to clear the border, as it is now in MI just across the river.

I noticed the shifter was really sloppy and floppy on it's bolt/stud.
Took it off and see there are 2 bushings in there bronze i assume, when i looked up schematic on bike bandit, they don't seem to exist in the pic.

Have i got a homemade fix or what? Any one know?

The bushings may not be available seperately.

Thanks
Thats the same diagram i saw, but if you look at parts list there is no mention of a bushing, those are all washers or seals or dustcovers.

Is a bushing standard there??

John: Are you talking about a bushing in the hole of the shifter lever?
If so, the reason it is not shown in the parts list is, that it is not available as a part. If it is worn or destroyed, you have to replace the shifter lever.
