I don't know why I did not join the CBX club sooner. I have had my first (of three) CBX's since June of 1979 and over the years it treated me well. I put the Euro kit on it in 1980 and spent countless hours polishing every part of the bike as well as painting it black (It was red) lacquer with candy gold stripes. I had the Kerker exhaust and the rest of the go-fast stuff but have since long sold all of the flash as I wanted to do something else with it. It now sets unfinished in the back of my garage but it is moving to the front real soon as I am now retired and have lots of time to spend on it. I sold the other two bikes when I bought my house in 1986 and I regret that decision. Now I am drawing up the plans to decide how I am going to build this one. I have a lot of spare new parts so it will be fun. I am thinking about turbocharging it and either buying or building a "frame" for it. I am lucky enough to also have a 1/8th scale model of the CBX that I also bought in 1980. I am going to use it as the template for my build up of the 1/1.

I am not very far away from you and have a few CBX hotrods myself. Let us know what you are planning.
There is an incredible amount of knowledge to be found here on the CBX (not mine particularly) and
the guys are always willing to share it.
