Hi folks! New member here from Cornwall, UK. After wanting a CBX for some thirty years, I've finally purchased a US bike that has led most of its life in Canada. It's very original apart from a Laser 6-1 system that has been fitted in England a couple of years' ago. It's Candy Red, has 20k on the clock, and... Was manufactured in April of 1978, making it a first month of production bike. The chassis number ends: 1937. Not sure whether this makes the bike any more appealing, but I think it's cool!
Me: 40-something... Have ridden bikes all my life. Presently have a 1987 RG500 Gamma, a 1987 GSXR 750 Slabside and an RGV250 track bike. I guess I'm fond of Suzukis also! But don't flame me for my little penchant :)
I'm hoping to make as many local meets as possible and have already found another Cbx owner not far from me in Penzance. Hopefully hooking up soon.
Pictures to follow...
P.s. the howl of a CBX at 10,000 rpm is what made me purchase my bike. Back in the 80's, there was a dude in my home town that blasted up and down the seafront on summer nights. Whoever you are/were, you are responsible for that little seed that has finally come to fruition.
All things good, Matt
