][/ Hello all my father just gave me his 1979 cbx. Getting it road worthy now. Always wanted to ride it since I was a young fellow. Getting feverish for that exotic six sound. Just got my igniters in today going to relocate and rewire. Then when my carb book comes in going to give them a good cleaning. Wish me luck.

Greetings from California and welcome Alex! That bike looks like a dandy starting point!
I'll respectfully pass on some free advice that has served other folks well: Start up a thread for your project and post as you go, including pics, and help will come out of the woodwork. We usually have one or two projects a year going that we all get engaged in and we don't seem to have one this summer. Get us engaged and be amazed at the help you receive. You'll find lots of good info if you search and browse, and don't neglect to check the resources page on the main site. Oh and join the club, willya? We'll give you a magazine now and then!

Welcome to the site, Alex.
Hopefully you bought the Mike Nixon Carb Book. Money well spent.
