Canadian source for Dynojet Stage 1?

I'm looking for a Dynojet Stage 1 kit for my bike (a 1979). It looks like Parts Canada doesn't carry it, so I can't order it through the Canadian Dynojet distributor. I found a few available from US sellers on ebay, but I'd rather find someone closer who has them in stock. Any ideas?

I would try Bob Franzke of CBX International. I just tried to look him up on Google and came up empty handed. Perhaps someone has his contact info?

Thanks for the pointer. cbxperformance is actually in California - I'm looking for something within Canada so I don't have to deal with holdups at the border.

Thanks for the pointer. They do have jets and other carb parts for the CBX but don't carry Dynojet stuff.

Cool - they list it but are out of stock and don't expect to have them before Jul/Aug. I'm going to just bite the bullet and order from a US seller.

TIMS has 'em in stock and I got them on the phone before the UPS guy arrived for the daily pickup. I'm supposed to have the kit in hand by noon tomorrow, which would be amazing if it actually happens. :)

It arrived today about 15 mins ago. Pretty awesome. 17 hours ago I was making the call to TIMS in GA, and in 15 mins I'm going out the door to drop the package off at the shop.

So what exactly was your opposition to buying a kit from the US in the first place? Seems pretty painless to me.

The only caveat is that you must stipulate shipping through U.S.P.S. only! The downside is that you have a longer wait time than you would with any of the companies such as U.P.S, FedEx etc.
The upside is that you won't, in all likelihood, have to deal with any taxes and/or duties that the other carriers will charge. U.P.S. once charged me brokerage fees that were a 1/3 of the value of the item I had purchased. Additionally, if you have the items shipped to a business address ( as opposed to a residential one ) the incidence of additional fees being assessed ( taxes, duties ) drops yet again.
That's been my experience . When I built my 'X', I was off work on medical leave. All the bits I had ordered ( and there were a BUNCH ) came to my residence. I was billed taxes/ duties ( even using U.S.P.S/Canada post ) on the majority of the items. Of the parts I receive when shipped to the dealership, something on the order of 70-80% clear with no additional fees.
Good on ya, Phil, that it worked out so well for you. I hope it solves your fuelling issues.

I wanted it asap, and shopping by courier incurs a large brokerage fee when crossing the border.

As Mike mentioned, you don't have to pay that fee when shopping with usps, but that way there is no guarantee about delivery time. Most usps passages clear the border in 1-3 days, but I've had stuff stuck there for 3 weeks.

So the choice is to accept the risk of waiting weeks for the part, or pay a large premium on the shipping. If had found it in Canada, I could have had it in a day or two for almost $100 less.

Sonwhat did just the shipping (obviously via UPS red) and the fees cost you here?
