Greetings from Arizona..

Hello everyone. Thought I would join up as I belong to several other Honda forums. I'm into all older Honda's and have restored quite a few however a CBX was always on the list.

I picked an 82 model as this was the year I desired. Sealed the deal and had it shipped to me. Some of you might know the previous owner named Dale, living in Oregon. There is a dash plaque saying Dam Run 02 on the fairing. I believe he is a member here. Has a son named Nate.

Hello to you guys if you read this.

The bike is currently in the clean up stages and replacing quite a few parts. Usual 30 year old stuff. Waiting on ceramic coating from JR, carburetors from Mike Nixon, some powder coating and OEM parts.

Well, got a lot of reading to do here.

Welcome TT!

Lots of great stuff here to be mined, and do not neglect the front page of the site where there are some cool old archives of stuff too. Search works really well here.

Just sent in my membership. 8)

Thought I would post my progress. Still waiting on a few things but within two (2) weeks or so ready for the road. Finally about to cool down for the riding season.

Another hot summer behind me.

Welcome to the Club, tt.
I wish i had a workshop like yours. Organized, clean, bright and best of all warm.
Low miles on your '82? Rotors looks new.
Feel free to post pics of your other bike restos as well.

tt,

And please don't forget that our postal service is not as quick and accurate as it used to be. We are all spoiled by the speed of the internet and forget that mail takes a few days!

Thanks guys! I finally got the CBX on the road. Everything is perfect. Only adjustments required were the ide and rear brake pedal height. This was five months of work to bring it to my specifacations. Runs like a Swiss Watch. I have owned so many motorcycles but this IS my favorite!

Mike Nixon did the carburetors so that speaks for it's self.

The rotors were done by True-disk in Michigan. Highly recommended.

Ceramic coating by QC Coatings via JR. Thanks again JR!

Thank you! I've done quite a few but sold them to fund the CBX. Glad I did!

I did keep this however.

Decent quality video from your key-fob camera, tt.
Your bike looks great!
The valve cover is beautiful. More chrome looking than most of the stuff i have seen.
Does QC offer that finish on exhausts?

Yes.

Not sure due the size of CBX exhaust.
