Binding Rear Brake Suggestions?

I have a totally different problem. I recently purchased a 1982 CBX with only 326 original miles on it. The brakes have been bled fluids replaced etc but I have absolutely no rear brake at all. The rear pedal has zero pressure and the calipers are stuck in the fully retracted position thus allowing the rear wheel to spin freely. What might my issue be?

Probably the master cylinder, but even though the bike only has 300 miles on it, the brakes don't know that. The rear for sure needs completely disassembled, cleaned and bled. Old brake fluid makes a mess of everything. Don't expect much better from the front until it's torn down as well. Just some of the things you have to do.

At the risk of sounding like someone else you may know, trying to drive a point home , I took the time to compare the two brake pivots to see what difference there actually is!
I came to the conclusion, that all differences. except one, are almost irrelevant. They will have no affect on fit or function.
Except for the bent in the spring arm that will move the end of the hook significantly away from the frame. Exactly where I had my issue.
I stand by my theory. The Sport Kit pivot was there before and what we call the "stock" pivot in the U.S. is a later, improved version.
Judge for yourself. ( and you can use any DOT spec brake fluid you want )

When I change the plates on my US Z for UK plates will I be able to just bend the spring arm?

I don't think you have to do anything. The difference is so minor, that it will work either way. The spindle you have (it should be the one with the right-angle bends) will provide more clearance to the frame.
