My first topic, My CBX
Hi,
I'm a proud owner of an early 1979 CBX-Z silver model.
It was originally sold in Italy, it is one of the sport looking ones, with very low handlebars, exported to the UK, where I bought it about 9 years ago.
I now live in Portugal and my baby is still shining with about 30.000km (20.000 miles) under it's weels.
I had a new crank put in due to a small acident, and an after market exhaust, which looks very original. Everything else is very good, except for one electric part which is ruining my life... It is one of the 3 black boxes that send energy to the spark plugs, the aw82-tri part.
If anyone has a spare one I will gladly give some of my hard-earned for it.
I really love it and hope to never part with it.

You could send an email to dennis@cbxman.com and see if he has anything that would help you. He has a lot of used parts and maybe has what you need. Good luck and welcome to the site.

Just came back to say my CBX is still good as new, and I own it for over 20 years now. Hope I'll come back in 10 years time saying I've got it for over 30 years now!!! :)

Nice bike, Zalle.
Like the upgrades too.
No turn signals?....i am not sure the numbskull drivers in North America would understand hand signals.

Re: My first topic, My CBX
Thanks guys. It has small aesthetic touches, which makes it look sportier, but still looks very original, and I kept the original parts anyway.
The Swingarm has bearings, it's an upgrade over the original with plastic bushings, and the cb900 calipers brake better than the original ones.
