CBX Stuff, what else?
Ok, who's got what for CBX collectables? I've got an '82 and '83 dealer parts book. Anyone have any cool Honda or CBX things? Pictures if you've got them.

I suppose you might call these collectables. I have three CBX cards. They are about 5x5 & 5x6, one is the more common version in english with a silver X on its side stand carrying a tank bag and what looks like late model shocks. They all have text on the reverse side including specs. Another is in french text "Un caractere sportif non dissimule" 1978 and shows a silver X on its center stand in a field with a FIAMM sign visible in the background like its near a racetrack. The other is a 1978 Andre Arimondo HONDA 1000 CBX Motocyclisme Le Bol d' Argent, also with french text. Anyone want to read them to me I just remembered, I have a 9/95 issue of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics with a red CBX on the cover, entitled Charismatic CBX Seventeen years on.

CBX collectible stuff?
------I have a stamp,a $4 stamp issued in Grenada,a teeny island nation in the Caribbean sea that gained notoriety when we went in with our military and rooted out a socialist government and rescued a bunch of people from there. It has a Honda CBX that is green in color on it banking into a turn and it reads as a "1977 Honda CBX".This stamp was issued in 1985 in commemoration of the 100th year of motorcycling, and I have as yet to see another.

CBX Stuff
Have several sales and parts brochures, some European, a 1979 dealer set-up manual, a 4-language Prolink owner's manual, 79 and an 81 plastic model and the Guiloy 1:10 (wrong color) 79 metal model. Neatest item though, is a small 3-D pewter engine model on a pedestal. Will try to post a pic.

Does anybody know anything about CBX engine silver pewter models? Who made them? Are they still made? Are they worth anything? Thanks

The original owner/founder of Tim's, Tim Ware, commissioned 250 (if I recall correctly) of the pewter models of the motor, many, many years ago.FLOYDSNEED wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 5:48 pmDoes anybody know anything about CBX engine silver pewter models? My team and I have identified this as a product to remanufacture and are looking into that possibility in a larger size and 2 materials, pewter and bronze at two different price points and production numbers.
The size will be increased to 104.7mm wide at the cylinder head.
That's all I'm going to share at this time but, stay tuned for future updates.

Here’s a Tims catalog from 2000. I liked the CBX key fob also, a nice piece for the price, I bought and gifted a few of them over the years.

Re: CBX Stuff, what else?
Those were about the size of a tennis ball. A good value at the time @ $125.
I'm planning on being about the size of a soft ball, better detail and about the same production number.
They won't be $125.

Hey JR, $125 in 2000 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $215 today, so you got that going for you!

Re: CBX Stuff, what else?
Got a lot of Cbx stuff, the pewter engine from TIMS, various dealer posters in French, promotional ashtray with a silver 79 on it, a nice candy red 79 model very well made in metal, another model from the Joe Bar Team comics, with a booklet of the era bikes, countless mags with cbx tests, shop manuals in english and french, microfiches parts library, various key holders, TIMS black satin jacket with the engine embroidered on the back, various CBX club patches from different countries, pins, red HONDA CBX textile jacket, french CBX polar black jacket for the 40th anniversary celebration at the SRC at Paul Ricard track and lots of other stuff accumulated over 32 years…
