My low mileage 82 CBX has been misbehaving for a while now - feeling a bit rough and sometimes unwilling to rev beyond 4,000rpm.
But it has been intermittent so I was hoping it wouldn't be the dreaded carbs because they frighten the crap out of me!
It was confirmed when on start up exhaust pipes 2 and 5 were cold initially - excellent it must be poor earth or HT leads or coil or igniter....
Starting with the easiest things I cleaned up all the earths and made up new HT leads - wow, what a transformation it's like a new bike (and TBH I'm not sure it was ever this good in my 5 years of ownership!) It's amazing how "well" it ran on four out the six cylinders really!
The carbs still scare me though!...
