Winter Rally 2013 Photos

Post by Larry Zimmer »

A few photos of the Winter Rally. A good time was had with the Ford museum, Int'l bike show and, of course, dinners. We were most fortunate that Ian Foster could join us Saturday evening -- won the longest-distance-to-rally award. Our Rally Director welcomes suggestions for next year -- Winter and all others.

And those aren't reading glasses, it's clear coat?

Dam, we're getting old. And it's not as much fun as I thought it would be.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Can't say as I know anyone in the snaps. Maybe I'll get a chance to correct that sometime.
But, there's just something about group shots like those. Folks smiling, sharing each others' company and a meal. Having the chance to do that ? Think on that a second.

We were actually commenting that since we were right in Detroit, it was surprising no Canadians showed up. I know Montreal is a hike, but many Canadian members were closer than I was.

Perhaps we should identify ourselves. In the picture after the Bugatti, I'm the bald one down at the end on the right. The gray haired lass to my right is my bride of 38 years, Susan.

I think I can help a little with names. At least of those who I have met or do know somehow. All others, please forgive me, it is not my intent to ignore anybody.
These two pics may be the best to name some of the attendees:

Mike,

The person you have identified as Bob Weir is Brian Weis. Same initials....

Between me and Diane is Cathy and Bob Steiner

To Brian's left is Cindy and Don Schmitt.

The couple closest to the camera are Mike and...senior moment here....can't recall her name. He is on here occasionally, has the black '80 w/ the CBR-XX mufflers, from Michigan.

That last one would be Mike Grossmueller and wife Christine. Aris, your comment is 'spot-on'. Thanks,

Thank you guys for the ID information. I hope the meal was as good as the fellowship appears to be.

In my defence ( at least this time ) its all about a little thing we have going on up here this time of year called winter. I don't take the, mighty, Camry out much, mostly take two wheels when I have someplace to go. On that note, here's a shot that, I hope, illustrates about how close I'll be getting to fooling around in my leathers ( keep it clean folks !), for the next little while.....sigh :

Thanks for idenitfying the guilty parties. Its nice to be able to put a face to some of the names I'm used to 'seeing' here.
