I have been unable to remove the front wheel axle-nut on my 82 CBX. Originally I tried 22 mm wrench backed on the other end with a 17mm wrench. When that didn't work I purchased a 1/2" drive 6-point 22mm deep socket that can just reach the hex head on the axle nut, I then hit with my 300 ft-lb air impact wrench. No go there either. Currently waiting on some liquid penetrate to soak in a bit.
Could the nut possibly be left-hand threaded? I see no mention of left-had threads in the shop manual.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: ProLink Front Axle Nut Removal
They are not left hand thread. Time for a breaker bar with a pipe on it.

Re: ProLink Front Axle Nut Removal
The liquid wrench seems to have helped. After a half-hour soak, the impact wrench quickly broke the axle nut free.
And yes, the axle nut is the mostly normal right-hand thread type.
Thanks for the quick reply.

I’ve had a hard time with those too, Dave.
