Carburettor no 5 leaking

Post by PAUL N »

Hi All
my Mechanic has rebuilt my 1979 cbx engine after hydraulic lock causing a bent con rod on no 1 cylinder.
Before putting the carbs back on he has tested them for overflow and no 5 is leaking any ideas why?
he dosent want to put them on till he sorts the leak from the overflow.
tks

Bad float valve or seat, cracked brass standpipe in the bowl, incorrect float height or bad float. Most likely the cracked pipe.
