I changed my '79 CBX oil and oil filter and can see some very small metal particles and flakes in the container in which I drained the oil. The vast majority look like non-copper - more metal/aluminum I guess.
My question is how much of this "metal debris" is acceptable?
I have ZERO information on this bike - it came without clocks, so I do not know the mileage done. The motor is not really noisy... the normal idle "clatter" is there but once over 1500+ rpm it sounds OK. Oil light goes off immediately at startup - if this any indication of the health of the crank/bearings.
Any checks I need / can do? (Apparently the valves/shims were checked)
Regards!
After oil change... I have a question
