Not quite - I only bought the bike back in June, and Steel City Classics covered it with a three month warranty - which had just a week left in force when the starter motor gave up the ghost
Here's another pic I took shortly after getting the bike.

Warmer weather than normal, the 79 was put away for the winter and couldn't resist bringing it out. It was the first time I've ever ridden in Nov

Looking good, Robert.
That warm weather has landed in Ontario as well. Supposed to be sunny and 18 for the next three days.

My son and I went out the other night for our first local ride....the weather was perfect and and the bikes were perfect (until mine started running like crap,) but we saw lots of others out enjoying the finally decent weather, grabbed a few pics as well.

Very nice, Forrest.
Still with many travel and social gathering restrictions riding the bikes seem even more important.

Quite right Steve - I've just been for a ride with my lifelong friend who has just finished chemotherapy for Cancer of the Oesophagus. He has been restoring the Z1000 Mk2 for two years and has managed to complete it just before he is due to undergo a major operation.steve murdoch icoa #5322 wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 6:43 amStill with many travel and social gathering restrictions riding the bikes seem even more important.

I have only 3 bikes back in service from hibernation. Took the K1600 to Roscoe Village, near Coshocton last weekend.

EMS, that K1600 is mental - but I guess you know that!

Re: Anybody else out for a ride lately?
I wonder if Honda were making a CBX today whether it would resemble the Beemer? I don't count the Wing for obvious reasons.
I also can't help wondering, if you took all the tupperware off and stripped it back to the essentials how it would go on the track? Have you been tempted to take it to a ride day EMS?

I wondered the same about EMS hitting the track with the k16, then I remembered he has a 1098R and who knows what else, so my money would be on "no".Warwick Biggs wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 8:24 pmI also can't help wondering, if you took all the tupperware off and stripped it back to the essentials how it would go on the track? Re: Anybody else out for a ride lately?
While the K1600 is surprisingly nimble and easy to handle once you are on it and it is rolling, it is not a track bike. The wheelbase is too long and the steering is not quick enough. Also, I don't think the ground clearance would be O.K. It has an e-throttle with 3 different settings, but i does not have traction control. And this would have to be a must with the massive torque it puts out. It looks quite ugly without all the plastic. I had most of it off once, because I needed to replace a broken fuel-line elbow after the fuel pump. Didn't know what to think of it.
