Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Not that your bike needs any help but having the Rockies as a backdrop sure does add to the shot.
Great photos of a great looking bike.

Yes, the Rocky backdrop is nice this time of year when the snow is largely covering them yet. In a few weeks my favorite backroads will open to get closer and some great views.

The pictures were taken with a Sony A7III w/ 24-105 F4 zoom lens. All those pictures were taken with aperture wide open (F4) to narrow the depth of field to keep the bike in focus and soften/blur the foreground and background. Also, fully zoomed out (105mm) to draw the mountain scenery into the frame. I was probably 10m away form the bike when I took the last 3 shots. Photos were captured in camera RAW file format and extracted to JPEG in post production in Adobe Lightroom with minimal exposure adjustment.

That camera rig is substantial (weighs 3.5lbs) - I carry it in a camera specific backpack while riding, hardly convenient but it takes great pics. I uploaded a full resolution (24MP) image below - click on it a couple times and it should zoom to the full pixel resolution of your computer monitor.

I'll stress - you don't need a setup like that to take impactful photo's. As the saying goes, the best camera you can own is the one you have with you.

The zoom is spectacular but i do see a tiny squished bug on the valve cover. haha.

Certainly not a criticism but it also shows the numerous balancing weights on the front wheel? Remember having many on an old Triumph wheel.

Thanks so much for the info and insight.

I rock an old/cheap Rebel T4i and recently got a vintage prime Tamron 135-2.8. I was thinking of that lens as my park portrait special, but you're making me see the potential for making some nice motorcycle & bicycle pics with it in the right setting, too.

I really like how your photos look at f/4 - the bit of softness puts the emphasis on the bike, but it's not just all blasted out bokeh blur in the background. It's a good reminder for someone like me who tends to get over-fixated on very narrow depth of field.
