79 Front Master Cylinder
just pulled the MC open, and inside the reservoir is 2 small holes only one appears to go through to the piston with light , do they both feed the piston with brake fluid ? need to clean this thing up after all these years and order a kit from Louis . TIA

Next to hard starting and carbs, this subject is the most written about on this forum. Volumes to be found with a quick search.

One is the feed hole, one is the bleed hole. Both need to be open in order for the MC to work properly. Open all the way to the bore.

Re: 79 Front Master Cylinder
thanks guys,,just blew some compressed air through both, the one that goes into the piston chamber is free flowing and the other seems restricted but has air passage somewhat , will do a search again for some cleaning tips

Re: 79 Front Master Cylinder
Thanks Mike ! after 2 hrs of internet search for description of the 2 different bore size explained i resorted to my trusty magnifier glass and sewing needle and did some probing ...And for those fallowing this topic ..Yes the Main feed is Much larger than the Bleed bore...so keep the Cordless drill away,, thing is about as small as the friggin Slow jet on the Carb !!! Clogged as suspected.......................
