Removing front reservoir

Post by jackstraw »

Hi.
I would like to detach the front brake fluid reservoir from the master cylinder housing but I can’t see how it is attached. I’ve taken the body off the bike but not yet removed the master cylinder piston
Any pointers would be appreciated
Thanks

I suck all the brake fluid out then use a heat gun being careful not to over heat. I then turn the reservoir 1/4 turn and put a rag around a screwdriver and pry under the reservoir useing the main body as a lever place. They normally pop off this way. I always put a new reservoir on so I don’t worry about if it gets damaged .

Great, thanks tevan. Worked a treat, small amount of hot air and a little push with a screwdriver and it popped off
Perfect
