There is a part number which I can't find.
It is the stainless steel shim that fits to the bracket where the caliper get mounted. One of the retaining tabs is broken off and won't stay in place.
The parts fiche does not have this part listed,
Anyone know what the correct part number is, likely same as the 81, but guessing on this.
Went to local Honda dealer, they also could not find it. Apparently missing from parts fiche.
Thanks,
Shim for Caliper Mounting Bracket

It is not a separate part number. You just have to scrounge them up, and they're hard to find. I'd be happy with the one you have, just epoxy it on and you're good to go. Louis probably would sell you one separately if you really wanted one.

This may be the part you are looking for 45112-MA2-006
then there are also 45112-410-006 and 43112-110-006
I can't really tell what "hanger" you are showing. Is this an original CBX part?

45112-MA2-006 is the front caliper shim, but I can't tell you if the rear (which the poster is looking for) is the same part. There are two or three sizes of that part used on Hondas of that era.

Re: Shim for Caliper Mounting Bracket
The front rotors are the thicker vented discs and the rear is solid disc (thinner than front).
So for sure the fronts will not fit on the rear.
The first pic above is the rear brake caliper retainer for the 82.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Shim for Caliper Mounting Bracket
So here's what I did, I ordered two parts
1) 43112-445-631 this is the rear retainer on my goldwing.
2) 45112-445-631 this is the front retainer.
Thinking if it doesn't fit the CBX, I still can use them for the GW.
Look like the 43112 fits exactly like the original one on the CBX.
The other will fit but center portion won't clear the rotor, unless I dremel it off.
Will get pic later and show.
Thanks for all the help.
