Engine oil pressure gauge

Post by alimey4u2 »

Bought this on E-bay from TAS Classic Motorsports "Serving the elderly for over a decade" ( felt quite at home  )

Nice quality item & they sent me American candy in the box too.... 8)

Ps I have no affiliation with TAS Classic Motorsports, real or suggested. Just thought I would share...

and if you're ever stranded in the Sahara, you can pull out the little black rubber plug and drink the vodka they fill it up with (liquid filled) for life giving nourishment. That is what they fill liquid filled guages with, isn't it?

think of your three closest friends, if they're okay then

I am still trying to find a spot to mount the gauge near the instrument pods, connecting to the fitting with a metal line.

That’s a 13 year old post, Tom, I think you may need to start from scratch.

I used a VDO instrument when I built Randakk's 1100F a few years ago. The mounting, line connections and any machining, you'll have to DIY.

Here's that same gauge (only, no fittings) from the first post, from Amazon here in the US,:

That gauge only goes to 60 psi. A higher reading gauge is needed since the spec for oil pressure is 64-71 psi at 4000 rpm.

I got my oil pressure gauge fittings from Tim's CBX.
I just bought that gauge recently in silver and it works at idle, but then it goes off the scale when I rev it.
The glass face on off-scale gauges can shatter.
Marshall also has a 100psi gauge so I swapped out my 60psi for it.
