Something extraordinary...

I saw a special today on the speed channel on the Motoczysz Digitalbike with twin crankshafts!! Very cool!! This bike was apparently designed from the ground up from absolute scratch.

Looks spacy! The site only shows a picture of it. There are comments but about the C1 but not the E1 pictured. Can you fill us in since you watched the show?

Mr. Czysz.....has gotten a lot of ink in Cycle World over tha past couple of years. Interesting bikes. I sure hope he continues his efforts.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

He did do some neat things with the suspension on that bike. The engine was criticised for the complexity, twin cranks, multiple gear sets, it had a lot of internal friction. I don't think they ever got it to a competitive power level. Probably why he switched the project to an electric racer.

That's the last I heard he was concentrating on. He was part of the last big show of silent racers at Bonneville...

What i remember from the TV show was twin cranks, triple overhead cams, a mono shock front fork, a dry electric slipper clutch, cylinder intakes that were threaded between the cams, a separate componentized removeable transmission that you could switch any or all gears, and very shallow pistons.

The C1 taking a lap.
Lousy footage but good sound of a unique exhaust note.
