82 seat, change to a quick release

Post by dshapley »

Has anyone changed the seat from the two bolts, to some sort of key or cable release as on most other bikes.

I see this thread is unanswered in almost two years but after servicing the air filter on my 82 it caught my eye. The OP sz two bolts? There are eight bolts and two nuts on mine and on the other 82 I used to have. Anyone figure out what he’s asking? Ha, maybe that’s why no one has ever responded.

I dunno. I do know he isn't going to get his seat off an 82 by just loosening those two nuts on the side. That is, not if he wants to use it again.
