Hello I'm about to renovate my cbx'er, and would therefore like to know which parts are original was painted? Cylinder and cylinder head are both painted or is it only the cylinder? What about the other covers?

I assume you are talking about a 79 or 80 with the "silver" engine..(Prolink motors are black)

The motor block is painted. Cylinder and head are "conserved" with an aluminum treatment. For restoration purposes, they can be painted and are in almost all cases.
All magnesium engine covers on the 79 are painted. All others are brushed and "clearcoated".
