I have some fine scratches on one of my header tail pipes. I tried polishing them out with wax. This does not work. Does anybody know a method to remove them?
Thanks

Re: scratches on chrome
Duane, a previous owner had used an SOS pad on a set of chrome Denco pipes i had on the '81.
I used super fine 0000 steel wool and a liberal application of Autosol and a liberal application of elbow grease. It removed 2/3 or so of the scratches. Not perfect but much better.

Re: scratches on chrome
You can polish out small scratches but deep scratches will not go away, you can't replace missing metal.
