Fuel tank protection rubber location...

Post by pmcburney »

I recently purchased a set of the protection rubbers that attach to the front edge of the 79/80 fuel tanks, as my bike was missing them from purchase.

Can anyone advise as to their exact location please?
In line with the frame rails or just above/below?

Here are pics of an original tank with the moles in their absolute original location. That said, I don't think it's an exact science. I have seen them a bit higher. Anywhere in that area would be fine.
