Thanks. Sadly no, that is the correct strap hardware for almost every other honda but not the 79-80 CBX, they are a straight, squarish hardware. David silver has the correct ones but they are sold with the aluminum trim bars too.

Got my original 1980 469 marked pipes on. Also got the aluminum seat trim on the recovered seat. Just waiting for the new strap mounting hardware to land to finish up the seat.

Got her to the point of pushing the button, she started right up. Lots of rattling so I’ll need to re-sync the carbs and get her timed. I did have a drip coming from the bottom of the clutch cover so I’ll drain the oil and check the gasket. I have a couple new ones just in case.
