Well last year I added a low mileage one owner red 1979 to my fleet of old Hondas. I had it trucked from Milwaukee to my home on Camano Island. Had 13,000 miles and not much needed. It had a receipt for $4000.00 worth of work to get it road ready from “the shop” in Milwaukee. The usual stuff. “Clean carburetors, ( said they had to remove the battery holder to remove carbs???). New tires, air filter(nope) brakes, cleaned the fuel tank( it did look really nice) adjust the valves.. after reading and seeing the work i doubted much of this.it of course ran high at idle after warmed up. I dug into the carbs first with a Randakk kit and other parts from mike Nixon. I found the air boots torn with a screwdriver or prybar then kinda covered with duct tape. Replaced the Kerkers with some really nice stock OEM pipes from Pete Ruff. Painted the frame, swing arm(new metal bushings from Tim’s). New switches. Rebuilt the alternator. Repainted the calipers. Checked and readjusted many of the valves.painted the engine

Hey Mike!

For those not acquainted, Mike is an aficionado of many fine things, including Honda motorcycles. Mike, show us a few photos of your Gold Wings!
