painting black bits (not engine or brake calipers)

Post by geebee58 »

Hi Everyone,

Looking at just cleaning up some of the bits and pieces on the bike around the handlebars. Stuff like cable brackets, gauge cluster facia and things like that. I don't have spray equipment so would be thinking about using rattle cans. Is there a know product that suits? I'm guessing VHT engine paint is a no go :-)

Also is there an alternative to powder coating brake calipers and master cylinders? Preferably out of a spray can too.... Not asking much eh...

Cheers

Gary

Don't know what brands you get over there, but most paint makers offer several kinds of 'trim black'. It will be the correct satin finish. Don't get one that's too 'flat'. There are correct caliper paints available too, in rattle cans.
