oil change

Post by DevonCbx »

Is there any order to change oil? I generally drain the oil. While the oil is draining, I remove the filter at the same time. Hopefully this releases most of the oil. I leave the drain plug off until the oil is just dripping out. :?:

Sounds about right - If you put it on the side stand after all the oil has run out, you'll get a little more out of it . . . . lots of oil stays up on the top of the head when the bike is vertical

..and the oil should be changed after the engine has been run for a while. This is supposed to suspend all debris in the oil and drain it out with it.
