Fuel connector tube between carbs

Anyone know where I can get a replacement fuel connector tube (the curved one between 3 and 4) and one of the shorter ones? When I took my carbs apart they fell out, broken off. Not sure if I damaged them (I doubt it because I was really careful) or if they already were damaged. Thanks!

Broke off ? Are you sure they didn't fall out because the O-rings
are completely dried out ?

If you are talking about the accelerator pump joints, yes, they are easy to break.

Honestly, most of the bike looks really good, accelerator pump diapragm looked like new, air/fuel screws came out easily and all had one (and only one!) oring in place that came out easily and was still pretty soft. everyting disassembled without problems. But you are right, the tubes look nasty!

I f'ed up when drilling out the slow jet (or whatever it's called). First time doing this. On the first carb I didn't drill deep enough (used 2.7 mm drill), tapped the threads with M3 and the screw pulled right out of the jet. I drilled a little deeper, cut more thread and lucklily got it out. I then had to adjust my drill press table to fit carb #4, didn't pay attention and drilled to deep. So I am also in the market for a #35 slow jet!

You do not need to drill anything. Just use a 3mm or 4-40 tap into the existing hole in the jet. You can make easily enough threads to pull the jet.

#35 pressed in jets are readily available.

And yes, you pried too hard the wrong way snd snapped off the joints.

Dave, I tried just going in with M3 without drilling but I thought I had to use too much force, so I decided to drill a little bit. Good to know that it’s possible without drilling. Already found all the parts I need from a forum member.
I was really careful separating the carbs, I almost can’t imagine that I broke the tubes. The accelerator pump wasn’t working so maybe it was already broken? I dunno, but will definitely be triple careful going forward.

I know these break and still have broken a few over the years. They tolerate no angular force whatsoever. They do not break in situ, so yes, you did it! Good luck and glad you found replacements. BTW, that scribed line on the curved one DOES mean something.

It definitely seems to be a more delicate machine than any of my BMW's :D

Dave, i just looked at a spare set of carbs and indeed the scribed line is present but i have no idea as to it's purpose.
Is it an installation marker of some sort?

Yes, scribed line goes toward carb #4.

When putting together the carbs today, I was a bit surprised, how difficult it was to get the tubes with Randakk's o-rings inserted into the carbs. Almost as if the o-rings were a little too big. I sprayed some WD-40 on them, but it was almost impossible to press them into the carbs. I got carbs 4-6 together but I am already scared that I will mess up the connector tubes between the banks, since they are longer and curved. What am I missing??
