Wrong carb joint pipe?

Joined the two carbbanks the other day and i think i got a problem.

My old joint pipe is rather loose and i can move it side to side around 2mm. I have not tried it with gas for leakage yet.

When i look at csmnl they show another pipe and so does Mike Nixon in his book and also FSM.

Here is my pipe in place, here i can move it side to side.

And here it is again:

As you can see the oring slots is very thin and the biggest oring i can install it with is a 4x1 mm.

Cmsnl pipe look rather different:

The original (csmnl pipe) look to have room for bigger orings.

Anyone have any info they want to share here?

Thaks Marten.

That appears to be a modified adjustable spacing tube for CR or Mikuni RS carbs that
someone put the bend in it. I would not try to use it. Order the cmsnl tube, if available.

Maybe someone here on the forum has a spare they would sell.

I got the new pipe installed and did a leak test. The carbs doesnt leak😁

But the joy didnt last long:) I wanted to see if the acc pump worked. I attached the throttle and worked it good. Soon i realised that it leaked gas were the acc pump oring is located. I put the wrong one there😩

I am pretty sure i took the oring thats was in the acc pump kit but i must have messed it up.

But i ordered a new one from Sixcenter so soon it will be changed.
