Where do I get this part? Help

Post by zalle »

Hello guys,

My mechanic is cleaning my 1979Z carbs, he says it needs a rubber diaphragm that sits under the carbs, in the middle.

What's the name of this, and where do I get it (I'm in Europe, by the way)?

Thanks for your helpImage

If your "mechanic" doesn't know where to get this, you've gone to the wrong guy.

The diaphragm comes in a kit, with the spring from CMSNL in the Netherlandsfor 17 Euro Honda p/n is 16021 422 004.
The CMSNL part-no is CDV105

I have a couple cut off and a couple Accel Pump diaphragms also if you need them.

Like Mike said CMSNL, they might be less expensive rather than shipping from the US.

Thank you, that was extremely helpful.

Thanks guys, I will check CMSNL.

I was also told by Mike Nixon (The Recycle Project) that Cycle Recycle might have it too.

Thanks again

JR does have a point, don't totally dismiss it. These are common as dirt to guys that rebuild carbs, at least over here. Bert at Six Center in Holland carries them and David Silver Spares in GB also does.

My mechanic has been caring for my Cbx since 1994. It has been running smooth as silk since forever. I totally trust him.

He asks me to get parts every time, since supply in Portugal is non existent, and he doesn't even speak English or use the internet.

In my view this does not make him a bad mechanic.
