Pulling carbs without tilting?

Post by derherr65 »

I've seen a few references to the effect of "you have to tilt the engine to pull the carbs, unless your bike's modified." Is there a specific modification to allow pulling without tilting, or is this more myth than reality?

Not certain. However, I think the 'modification' is a bike without the stock airbox. I base that on my own experience. I don't see any way to get things apart with the stock airbox unless the engine is tilted. Speaking for my 82.
