So a long time ago I rebuilt my petcock and several years ago I put in one of Randakk's seals. It was hard to turn and now at this point it is really hard to turn. What can I use that will last to provide some lubrication? Vasaline or bearing grease ? Or ??

Thanks

In this tutorial from Randakks he uses vaseline during the rebuild process.

Just shoot any kind of lubricant around the handle of the valve and turn it to the various positions. It should free up. If not, you are stuck taking it apart and cleaning/lubing it. But grease of any kind only lasts until you put the first gasoline through it. It should stay free with semi-regular use. I've never used Randakk's rubber rings, so they may be slightly oversized. I never had this problem with the Honda ones or Mike Nixon's.

Steve, Dave,
Thanks for the reply. I will try a little grease and put it back together.
