Fast idle linkage

Could someone post a close up picture of the fast idle linkage, particularly of the adjustment lever. The workshop manual I have does not show it clear enough and it seems to be missing something as I have no fast idle at all. Thanks.

Are you referring to the choke linkage?
Carb guru Mike Nixon has a couple excellent videos about the operation and setup of the choke.

Steve. Yes, the fast idle linkage on the side of the carb is activated by the choke linkage. The manual shows the fast idle adjusting arm but there seems to be something missing or out of sync and I need a clearer picture to see what the problem is.

An earlier post with some more on the adjustment.

There is also a video in the earlier link for the proper attachment of the choke springs.

I guess I'll repeat my oft-offered sentiment on fast idle. Forget it, it'll only get you in trouble by bluing your pipes. If all else is right, the bike will start fine and you'll be able to take the choke off very quickly and ride away. Fast idle is not your friend.

That said, one of the pins on the linkage is likely bent so that the cam on the choke lever is not touching it.

Thanks for the information and photograph. I see now why the fast idle didn't work (bent adjustment arm) and will take Dave's advice and leave it as is, don't like blue pipes !
