I'm rebuilding the rear hub of my 1979 CBX. The seal listed is 35x55x9. That is 2.165" The hole in my hub is 2.040. The seal I have is the correct seal for the hole it is to go into according to my parts book. you can see a 2.165 seal is not going into a 2.040 hole. Anyone know what gives? A 34x54x9 looks closer. HELP.

Re: Seal size question for rear wheel hub
The oil seal on the left side is (34X55X9) PN:90753-283-000. The dust seal on the right side is (30X45X9.5) PN:91253-286-013. Are you sure you got all the old seal removed?

The old seal was removed. I screwed up, and measured wrong. I got it figured out. Thank you for your help. Rich

Embrace the metric.
The only things measured in inches are the tires and rims, and the tires are now a combination of both. (width - metric, I.D. - inches).
