1980 Canadian CBX1000 conservation.

Post by Petrosexual »

I haven't been idle over the silly season....

The CBX has received amongst others, a decoke, carb cleaning, valve guide seals, valve lapping, alternator brushes............and a stupid amount of cleaning and polishing.

I have to admit it wasn't anywhere near as bad as it could have been, or should I say experience and research should it could be, tensioners etc in surprising shape or not, its hardly Death Valley up here..... The only nasty surprise was the alternator rotor is on its way out.

Now waiting on some shims and then the engine can go back together, again. I'm really pleased how its cleaned up, and being that it wasn't as expected I can now spunk the saved money on a pipe for the inner 12yr olds belated Xmas prezzie.

Cheers!

Nicely done, noticeably improved.
p.s. your interior decorating skills are next level good.
