The builder is called Alfons Bart, managed to find him on Facebook, he built the tail piece from scratch modled on a Bol D'or using a Ducati Monster tail light

I have a set of "window" foot plates on my yellow bike. I drilled holes between the webs and using a very thin hack saw blade, cut out the rest, then spent hours with files cleaning up the edges. I did it to a set of USA spec plates, as they're plentiful.

Like EMS eluded to, Rich’s bike was the first one I saw that done to and I think he started a little trend. I did a set the same way you did Rick and lost interest in doing any more, so now I have a tub of footplates, 5 or 6 pairs in there, LOL . I looked into having a friend of a friend hog them out with a CNC machine but it still was too cost prohibitive for a small run and shipping back and forth.

Years ago we had a member here, Dennis Sherry, who lived around Louisville, KY. He has connections to a local shop that did a lot of custom CNC machined aluminum billet parts, mostly for Harleys. They wanted to expand into other markets and used Dennis' bike as a test-bed for various custom parts. As Dennis was always very uncomfortable with the stock seating position on his 79 CBX - he used the passenger pegs a lot while he was riding - One of the most elaborate things he had done were custom rear-sets. They were for rider only and rather expensive, so they did not catch on. The parts that the shop did were mostly smaller items, like valve cover end covers, covers for custom alternators etc. The business did not take off as they expected, and they Pulled out again. I believe Bill Brint of "Tim's" bought most of the remaining inventory. Dennis sold his bike to someone in FL, I believe

I have a set of Sportkit "latticed" footplates that came with a bike from years ago.
I will probably smooth the edges of the cut-outs and get them vapour blasted before mounting.

Can anyone tell what front and back setup this bike has?
Everything on the bike is perfect (except for yello paint ) but that is a personal choice.
I love the fact that bike retains stock like height and wheelbase, uses stock speedo and has modern wheels brakes.
Can someone help me identify front and backend parts ?

I doubt the bike retains stock ride height. The wheels seem to be 3-spoke Brembo wheels from a Ducati. This may also be the source for the USD fork and the swing-arm. Could be from a Monster or Multistrada. There are different versions of the 3-spoke Brembos (and there even was a 3-spoke Marchesini) but most of them are 17" front and rear

The wheels and forks appear to me to be early 90s GSXR 1100 items.
Not sure about the swingarm but it's likely to be from a GSXR also.

I am pretty sure these are the wheels, except the rear is not for a single sided swinger. These are the 916 versions. Look for the shape where the spokes meet the rims and the small hole there.

I used the GSXR wheels on my 900F (28 years ago).
The rear is from an 89 1100, the front is from an 88 1100.
I used the 88 front because it's an 18" but the 89 17" looks
just the same.

Looks like you are right, bobcat. There is a ridge in the center of the Gixxer wheels that the Brembos do not have.

I like these without the center ridge except the ridge is useful for wheel weights.
Any idea what they cost ?
