Reason I asked about the clearance is that's usually the problem with the Pro-Link swingarm/linkage. A 17" lower-profile tire helps, as does pulling the wheel quite rearward in the swingarm clevis. Just know that you already have a quite long wheelbase and pulling the wheel back further amplifies that.

Hi Asish
I used an optional 520 sprocket for the R1, the R1 spline is the same as the CBX, it just happened to line up perfectly for me, probably due to limiting the tyre width to 160.

Hi Dave
There is about 2-3mm clearance at the Prolink pivot on the swingarm, this gives just enough chain slack.
The axle is front of center in the adjustment range, I wouldn’t expect to be able to use the chain for its full life due to the limited adjustment range.
It is a small disadvantage, compared to having a better range of tyres available.
I also prefer the look of the new rims and tyres.
They are also so much lighter than the old ones.

160 is quite wide compared to stock :). When I modded my 81, I had a Ducati swingarm and 525 chain. Had a tough time finding a sproket with 10 mm offset and had to get one custom ordered from Europe . I am running 190 . Interesting changes that you are making keeping forks original etc.. good luck

190 is huge, I wanted a wider choice of tyres without making huge changes to the bike, both for cost and the time involved.
Though yours does look nice.

Have finished with the new dash, a bit bulky but it does the job, minimises fabrication work.
The screen has been fitted, I think it suits the bike, had to relocate the camera.
There is a 5 volt output to power the camera while riding.

Pretty much finished now, the CB600 front guard is fitted, just need to work out the painting style.
Have also fitted a 40t rear sprocket, not so revvy now.
I am also making a fork brace out of two pieces of aluminium 50 x 25 x 300 mm, with 5 x M8 socket head set screws to clamp onto the forks.
