I asked on Reddit, and it seems like they're almost certainly vintage Marzocchi shocks. If you look at this ebay listing, you can see that it appears to match the sticker on that shock. It also looks like a red body was common for Marzocchi.

From what I was able to find hunting around, it seems like maybe these ones with no external reservoir were not a very high spec item, and are likely quite hard to find.

If you like that sleek look, maybe you wanna check out Fournales shocks? It's not the same by any means, but it is sleeker than a piggyback style shock.

Hey guys, been working through various projects.
Some thinning of the herd, some additions.
I haave a gt380m, pretty mint, but then i was offered another earlier one, 73, for $100, i couldnt pass on. Everything in pieces, but i am putting it together, to clear my floor area of the bins and boxes. Also putting together a k1 cb750 for a buddy.
Any who.

Came across a swing arm from a 94 cb1000 on the internet auction website.
Anyone knows if that fits the 79 cbx ?
Anyone has info on length, wheel base after, would be much appreciated. Its already set up for twin shocks.

I am going forward with twin shocks, 5.5x17 rim.
Is that a known swap ? I know they ran 18” rear wheel, but seems like it was a 18x5.5.
My research last night showed that a 95 cbr1000f rear wheel was a direct swap for 95 cb1000f wheel. Is that correct ?

Also how hard is it to find cb1000 or cbr1000f parts ? I havnt seen any atleast in local ads. Is this worth while route to go ?
One day, i’ll have em all finished.

Isnt without issues still, but hey its a start after a few years.

At least the pivot end fits good.
Feel still isnt centered, might have to go find an early oil cooled wheel setup.

But still pretty pleased

That swingarm looks pretty good. Is it polished, or plated?
