Revival Cycles Project "The Six"
New messageboard member Mark Scott here. Longtime owner of '80 CBX.
I was over at Revival Cycles in Austin TX a few months ago visiting Alan Stulberg, and he showed me this work in progress. They call it “The Six” and it will be ready for the Hand Built Show in April. He gave me the attached photos of the project. The photos really don’t do it justice. It is a hub center steering front end, with some amazing machine work on the hub hard parts. The front and rear suspension attach at the same pivot point in the middle of the frame, over the carbs. The engine is MASSIVE when looking at it from the front plus or minus 30 degrees. The whole scale is huge. I think the wheels are over 25”.
Wether it is usable as a motorcycle or not, it’s good to see some people going nuts with their CNC mill and welders. I can’t wait to see what they do with the 6 exhausts…..

No matter how wild the surrounding parts, the big beautiful Six in the middle is still the first thing to draw my eye.
Thanks for starting the thread, Mark.

Thanks guys. I'll keep bugging them for update photos. For anyone coming to Austin for MotoGP; that Handbuilt show is crazy. It is in the 5th year now, I think.
I'll be back with any additional photos or updates.

By all means, we're all gear heads here and would enjoy any pics you could provide from the show, I took a peek at some of the 2017 entries on the website, some very cool stuff!

Here's some more pictures of this CBX. I guess the Handbuilt Show is going on this weekend. Perhaps someone will have pictures from there.

A short video of the show.
Certainly the styling of a lot of the bikes are not for me but i would still like to attend just to admire some of the craftsmanship.

Their is another youtube vid of the bike where they show /explain/ ride it which I can't seem to post link to here.
I must say that the bike is a very great waste of a CBX engine.
