Hey - I recognize that workbench from some recent posts on the SuperDuke forum. I just picked up a '17 SD GT myself, traded off my Aprilia Futura for ABS and cruise control...wicked fun bike!

Just polishing up the CBX now to determine whether she stays on or goes off to a more involved owner.

I got a deal on mine I could not refuse.... Plus who can say no to 175HP
Definitely a good replacement for my Hayabusa I used for over 11 years on the road.... (I still have it, too good of a bike to get rid of)
Same as the CBX, it's a keeper.... If you have space to store it. Then you should keep yours as well.
No such thing as too many bikes.

Whoa, that doesn't look good. Any update on this? What did the vendor of the valves say?

Not a vendor problem, a machinist problem....
I was so pissed off about the valve work done on my CBX head that i just threw it under my bench and never finished putting the rest of the valves in.
Tims CBX told me to call the machine shop, but at the time I knew I wouldn't be able to control my temper and things would go nowhere....
....which is where they have ended up anyway.
I had my RZV project waiting on me, so I dug in deep on that and finished that build a week ago.

Now its time to face this damn CBX head again, one way or another and see who stands behind their word..

I just love the paint schemes of those era Yamahas! A beautiful bike you have there!

:text-thankyouyellow:

Only one on the road video at the moment
I was still in the break in mode so I was taking it pretty easy here....only had about 100 kilometers on the total rebuild.

Incredible bike!

Sorry about the trouble with the CBX - that sucks.

Sorry to hear about your fathers passing. But I would bet anything that he is the proudest father any where. Lost my Pa nearly 4 years ago now. Worst thing is when you find out he is your best friend also.

I'm a bit late, but please accept my condoleances as well, I sadly know how this paint feels.
However, the fact that you managed to build such a magnificent bike proves that he did an awesome job with you! It's one of the most gorgeous looking motorcycles I've seen, and that's thanks to your work.
