We've neglected this thread for over a year now. With winter coming, I can't be the only one who wants to see nice CBX photos...

Here's another from the same shoot I shared earlier:

Good idea, Phil.
I managed to get out for a couple hours on Tuesday but figure that was probably the last ride of the year. Yuck!

When the plants were green and it was warm outside.

Actually a current one with my new Pipemasters
Just clocked 31k
I bought it in 2013@ yard sale on a whim with 19K had been sitting in in unseated but dry barn for 23 years pretty crummy shape but took it apart down to bare frame ,redid most everything, put it all back together w/o pulling engine apart hoped motor was ok sent carbs to Mike Nixon,VROOM it’s a Honda!
Love this bike
had same identical one in 1979 but sold it in 1985
I’ll keep this one 4 ever

I still like this one. Taken at the Luray Virginia CBX Rally in 2008. I am not sure anymore if taken from the Skyline Drive or the Blue Ridge Parkway, but the place doesn't matter anymore.

Steve - think that was the Fall rally where we went up on the Skyline Drive at sunset for some pics. That is a great picture!

Not the greatest photo, taken last summer when I met up with Mouse in Canmore for a coffee! Another two months till riding season and I'll work on my photo composition skills.

A better look at Mouse's ride and his new 6 into 1 pipes.

yeah getting ahead of myself, make that 3 months  ! I was thinking two months from the winter bike show in January and that's only three weeks off now.

I could actually go out today, 0c right now and the roads from my garage to the main roads are clear but then I'd need to drain the carbs again, gas fumes in the garage and the little boss will be complaining about the smell :naughty: .

I see a few bikes every month throughout the winter when the Chinook winds blow, bikes come out even if it's for only a couple days. Then there are the die-hards, if the roads are clear they pull on their heated gear and out they go!

I was one of those people for a year, but in Toronto. I had an SV650 with hand guards, Widder electric heated vest & gloves, and Maxxis Presa Supermoto tires: medium compound rear and full-soft in the front. That setup worked well on cold pavement and even a little bit of snow, but the carbs were never meant for starting in below-freezing temps. I got stranded once because the choke cable had frozen and I had zero hope of getting that bike started in -5C with no choke.

Here is a fairly recent one of my special CBX, since I have installed the Pipemasters again since I needed the central stand , also got rid of the end mirrors (not practical and vulnerable) and found some nice rectangular billet F1 style.
Happy Holidays to all

Looking good JP. Think spring......

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.
